DWIGHT - Joyce M. Cezar, 79, went home to be with Jesus on January 10, 2008, at Hospice House of Hutchinson, Kansas.

She was born on November 20, 1928, in Parsons, the daughter of Coy and Muriel Higgins. She graduated from Parsons High School, Parsons Junior College, and Pittsburg State University. Joyce taught school, grades K-12, for many years. She also worked for ROTC at Fort Riley, as a stenographer, retiring in 1996.

She belonged to Eastern Star, American Legion, Research Club, and was an active member of the Dwight Presbyterian Church, where she was in the Ladies Aid Society, and the Quilting Club. Her passion in life was her family. She blessed their hearts with unconditional love and will be missed.

On July 15, 1957, Joyce married William L. Cezar in Eudora, Ks. He survives.

Other survivors include: a daughter, Pamela J. and husband Wayne Neufeld, Inman, two sons, Craig Cezar and his wife Bridget, Shawnee, and Chris Cezar and his wife Becky, Wichita, a brother, Jan Higgins and his wife Jo Ann,Joplin, MO, four grandsons, Kelly Neufeld and wife Stacy, Ottawa, Ks., Corey Neufeld and his wife Michelle, Tucson, Az., Kyle Cezar, Lawrence, Ks., Josh Compton and wife Geneva, Baton Rouge, La., and three granddaughters, Kasey Noggle and husband Monty, Buhler, Caroline Cezar, Shawnee, and Sara Compton, Atlanta, Ga.; and twelve great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents and two nieces, Candi Higgins and Kim Claydon.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 19, at the Dwight Presbyterian Church, Dwight, Kansas, with Pastor Sue Ann Seel presiding. Cremation has taken place.
