Joyce A. Lockwood's Obituary
Joyce Ann Lockwood, 66, died Jan. 6, 2007, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born Oct. 15, 1940, in Ripley, W.Va., the daughter of Albert and Roxie O. Janney Randolph. She graduated in 1957, from Seabreeze High School, Daytona Beach, Fla. A resident of Hutchinson for seven years, moving from Murfreesboro, Tenn., she was a homemaker.
She belonged to Westside Baptist Church and was very active in the Gideon's International Auxiliary.
On May 8, 1976, she married Joseph Lockwood in Sharon Springs, N.Y. He survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, John Norris Coulby, III, Alexandria, Va., and Timothy C. Lockwood, of the home Hutchinson; a daughter, Janice Knight, Lynchburg, Va.; two brothers, Junior Randolph and James Randolph, both of Ripley; a sister, Lucy Randolph, Ripley; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and three sisters.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Westside Baptist Church, Hutchinson, with Pastor Tim Adrian presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley. Visitation will be Friday evening at the funeral home, Ripley. Graveside service will be Saturday in Fairplain Cemetery, Fairplain, W.Va.
