Joyce L. McCormick, 85, of Hutchinson, died June 15, 2012, at Mennonite Manor. She was born May 30, 1927, in Hollis, Okla., the daughter of Rubin and Lola Campbell Mosier.

She grew up in San Angelo, Texas, where she graduated from high school and beauty school. She was a hairdresser for 47 years, and was the former owner and operator of Joyce's Faircrest Beauty Salon in Hutchinson. She moved to Hutchinson in 1960 and lived here until 1980, when she moved to Kimberling City, Mo. She moved back to Hutchinson in 1990. She was a member of Crossroads Christian Church.

Survivors include: a son, Jim McCormick of Hutchinson; a stepson, Charles McCormick of Owasso, Okla.; a stepdaughter, Susan Pruett of Austin, Texas; and a grandson, Colton McCormick of Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Cremation has taken place. No services are planned. Inurnment will be at a later date in Fort Worth, Texas. Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Christian Church or American Lung Association, sent in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
