Joyce Ann Razo, 80, died June 13, 2022, at her home. She was born June 19, 1941, in Hutchinson, to O'Dell "Doc" and Marie E. (Neufeld) Gilley.
Joyce graduated from Hutchinson High School and attended Hutchinson Community College. In addition to being a homemaker, Joyce worked as a church secretary, in the accounting department at Sears in San Francisco, the first female store manager in Hutchinson at Walgreens, Business Administrator at Central Christian Schools, and activities director at Elm Grove Senior Center. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and a prayer support group for Open Door Pregnancy Care Center.
Joyce enjoyed painting, photography, entertaining, floral arranging, cake decorating, interior design and organization, and hosting get-togethers.
She is remembered as living out her faith, being nurturing, fun-loving, sensitive to other's needs, valuing time spent with family, and finishing all tasks given to her.
On June 29, 1958, Joyce married David M. Razo, in Hutchinson. They shared nearly 64 years of marriage. He survives.
Also surviving are: daughters, Joni Razo-Heldreth (Russell) of Hutchinson, Annette Klassen (Wayne) of Mountain Lake, MN, Reba Childerston (Jon) of Kansas City, MO; foster daughter, Carol Pfister (Martin) of Hutchinson; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Dale Gilley (Edie) of Walnut Grove, MO, Don Gilley (Darleen) and Bart Gilley (Nancy), all of Wales, MA; sister-in-law, Linda Gilley of Somers, CT, and many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, O'Dell and Marie Gilley; a son, Ramon; and brothers, Lonnie and Neil Gilley.
Private family burial will take place in Fairlawn Burial Park.
Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022, at First Congregational Church, 3410 N. Plum St., Hutchinson.
Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday thru Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at First Congregational Church.
