Joyce L. Wolcott, 63, of Hutchinson, died Oct. 8, 2010, at Hospice House.
She was born Feb. 7, 1947, in Lincoln, Nebraska, the daughter of Melvin J.H. and Irma Petracek Abrahams.
A Hutchinson resident since 1961, she was a bank teller at Peoples Bank & Trust. She was a 1965 graduate of Hutchinson High School and attended Hutchinson Community College. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, and enjoyed painting, making ceramics, and cooking.
She married Terry Wolcott on Aug. 10, 1968, in Hutchinson. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Dan Wolcott; her mother, Irma Abrahams, both of Hutchinson; a brother, Don Abrahams and wife Laura, Inman; a sister-in-law, Debbie Wolcott, Hutchinson; a granddaughter, Cheyenne Wolcott, Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother-in-law, David Wolcott.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church in Hutchinson, with Rev. Mark Conard presiding. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park. Mrs. Wolcott will lie in state 1 to 9 p.m. on Sunday and 9 to 11 a.m. on Monday at Elliott Mortuary.
