Juanita England, 93, died Oct. 30, 2015. She was born Dec. 14, 1921, in Parsons, to Walter and Ethel (Robinson) Griffith.
She worked in the offices at J.C. Penney's Department store for 22 years before her retirement. Juanita loved to volunteer her time and did a lot of work for the Hutchinson Hospital Auxiliary and Hutchinson Flea Market for many years. She was a member of First Christian Church and a longtime patron of the Delos V. Smith Senior Center.
On June 27, 1943, she married Merle H. England in Tempe, Ariz. He died May 29, 2008. Other survivors include: daughter, Merlene Shuster and husband Gary of Wichita; sons, Dan England of Emporia, Bob England and wife Sandy of Hutchinson; grandsons, Brett Shuster of Chicago, Ill., Clay England of Colorado; granddaughters, Stacy Robins of Shawnee, Libby England of Mission; and great-grandsons, Lucas and Brady Robins of Shawnee. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, with Pastor Matt Stafford presiding. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorials may be made to the Delos V.
