IBERIA, Mo. - Juanita Anna "Jeda" Klug-Jenkins, 73, died Jan. 28, 2006, at St. Mary's Hospital, Richmond Heights, Mo., after complications following bladder cancer surgery, Dec. 2, 2005.
She was born Feb. 24, 1932, in Needles, Calif., the daughter of Arthur and Lillie Beavers Miller. She attended Hutchinson High School. A longtime Hutchinson resident until 1985, moving to Aransas Pass, Texas, then to Iberia, Mo., in 2001, she worked at Gibson's and Kmart, both in Hutchinson.
She belonged to Mount Gilead Church, Iberia, Mo., and was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
On Dec. 19, 1950, she married Albert A. Klug in Hutchinson. He died April 26, 1978. On July 16, 1985, she married William G. "Bill" Jenkins in Hope, Ark. He survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Mark Allan Klug and wife, Brenda, and Albert Aaron Klug and wife, Barbara, all of Hutchinson; a daughter, Sherry Ann Kilpatrick, St. Louis; a brother, Jack Miller, Macksville; three sisters, Ruth Wilcoxen, Hutchinson, Margaret Crisp, Dodge City, and Shirley Broegman, Waterford, Mich.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Oscar Barrickman presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.
