Obituary

Juanita L. McCoy, 75, of Hutchinson, died April 14, 2017, at her home. She was born Oct. 18, 1941, in Kinsley, the daughter of Glen & Gertrude (Werner) Cavenah.

She was a 1959 graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, Wichita, and a 1972 graduate of Hutchinson Community College. A Hutchinson resident since 1962, she was an administrative assistant for the City of Hutchinson and owner of CN Escrow Service. Juanita served in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church.

She is survived by: son, Shaun S. Roberts and wife Jeanne of Hutchinson; brothers, Charles and Dennis Cavenah, both of Tulsa; sisters, Patricia Borchert and Collette Pryor, both of Hutchinson; two grandchildren, Haley Nicole and Julianna Emily Faye Roberts. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her daughter, Renee Desiree Talbot; brothers, Kenneth, David and Lawrence Cavenah; sister, Ramona Kincaid.

Rosary will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 21, 2017, with Mass to follow at 11 a.m., both at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, with Father Michael J. Maybrier officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the Rosary at the church. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, with military honors conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps Honor Guard. Friends may sign her book Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Reno County Crime Victim's Fund (an organization she volunteered her time with), in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, 67501.
