Juanita Marie McVay, 88, died June 5, 2023, in Richmond, Texas. She was born October 27, 1934, in Abilene, Texas, to Meredith and Dora (Sauer) Blye.

Juanita worked as an office manager for Morton salt and belonged to the Sweet Adelines Chorus for many years.

On August 16, 1972, she married Howard "Mitt" McVay. He passed away on May 31, 2016.

Juanita is survived by: daughter, Janet Gilbertson, Richmond, Texas; son, Wayne Vincent, Richmond, Texas; step children, Ron Vincent, Hutchinson, Jennifer McVay, Hutchinson, James McVay, Great Bend, Jessica McVay, South Carolina, Mark McVay, Oklahoma, Michael McVay, Oregon; 15 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: parents; husband, Mitt McVay; and step daughter, Carla Cavin.

Cremation has taken place.

A graveside service will be 10 am August 14, 2023, in Fairlawn Burial Park. Friends may sign the book from 9 am to 5 pm Monday, August 7 through Friday, August 11 at Elliott Mortuary.
