Judith E. Bemiss' Obituary
Judith Elaine Bemiss, 69, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at Hester Care Center, Hutchinson.
She was born Nov. 15, 1944, in Pratt, the daughter of Winifred and June Pauline (Scott) Trinkle.
She was a 1962 graduate of Preston High School and Salt City Business College. Judith had worked at Hutchinson Hospital and then Hutchinson Clinic for 28 years as switchboard operator, retiring in 2008. She then worked for ADA Services with the city of Hutchinson.
On June 2, 1978, she married Carrol Bemiss in Hutchinson. He survives. Other survivors include: three aunts, Velma Trinkle of Pratt, Dorothy Trinkle of Preston, and Beverly Harrison (Alan) of Nashville, Tenn.; and several nieces, nephew and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; uncle, Don Trinkle; and a cousin.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, 2014, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Jeanine I. Rishel presiding. Burial will be in Shelman Cemetery, Cunningham. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until service time Monday at Elliott Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund at Wesley Towers, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main St., Hutchinson, KS 67501.
