Judith Anne Bailey Eckert, 66, died December 2, 2009, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

She was born May 23, 1943, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Fred E. and Thelma Q. Shuman Bailey.

She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1961. Judith attended Union Valley Bible Church. She was a retired cook.

On September 16, 1961 she married Roger E. Eckert in Hutchinson. He survives.

Other survivors include: daughter, Susan Wellington and husband David of Hutchinson; son, Scott Eckert and wife Jaclyn of Newton; daughter, Sammi Isaacson and husband Wade of Hutchinson; brothers, Fred Bailey and Claude Bailey of Hutchinson; sister, Virginia Bailey of Hutchinson; six grandchildren, Davey Wellington and wife Alyssa, Mike Wellington, Kody and Levi Isaacson, Jadyn and Isabelle Eckert and one great-granddaughter, Naddilyn GraceAnne Wellington.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Clinton and Lawrence Bailey and Phil and Marty Henderson, sister, Margie Henderson and infant brothers and sister, Russell, Larry Ned and Joycylou.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 7, 2009, at Union Valley Bible Church, Hutchinson, with Pastor Steve Hodgson presiding. Friends may call 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday with family to receive friends from 2 to 4 pm Sunday at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.
