Judith E. "Judy" Davis, 73, died May 9, 2015, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born Oct. 24, 1941, in Hutchinson, to Arthur and Doris L. (Wisley) Mitchell. Judy graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1959. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, painting, and working on various types of crafts. Judy worked as a receptionist for H&R Block and sold concert tickets at the Kansas State Fair.
On June 7, 1959, she married Donald "Don" Davis in Hutchinson. He survives.

Other survivors include: daughter, Celeste Nicewander and husband Ed of Hutchinson; son, Lance Davis of Kansas City, Kan.; sister, Joyce Dick and husband Larry of Hutchinson; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Judy was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Mitchell; mother, Doris Mitchell-Hamilton; and stepfather, Bill Hamilton.

Graveside service will be 9 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2015, in Arlington Cemetery, with Pastor Kendall Sheats officiating. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 11 a.m. at Believers Tabernacle, 17th and Main in Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
