NICKERSON - Judith Arlene "Judy" Jordan, 64, died Dec. 17, 2012, at her home in Nickerson. She was born May 4, 1948, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Leo and Sarah Faye (Campbell) Wess.

Judy graduated from Partridge High School in 1966 and then from Cranford College with a degree in business administration. She was a self-employed accountant and a foster mother for 19 children.

On July 3, 1980, she married Matt J. Jordan in Longview, Texas. He survives. Other survivors include: five children, Michael Aaron Jordan of Hutchinson, Jona Sue Chambers of Wichita, Christina Faye Daugherty of Phoenix, Ariz., Sarah Elizabeth Nelson of Amsterdam, Mo., and Brieanna Jean Nunn of Hutchinson; a brother, Frank Wess of Medora; and numerous grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, is in charge of arrangements.
