Judy A. Wichert, 67, died Oct. 9, 2011, at her home in Hutchinson. She was born Jan. 27, 1944, in Attica, to Harold H. and Mary V. Kaup Countryman. She was an active member of The Corner Stone Baptist Church. Judy graduated from the McPherson School of Practical Nursing.
On Sept. 20, 1987, she married Earl Wichert. He survives.
Other survivors include: sons, Jerry Hatcher and wife Laura, Hutchinson, Tracey Hatcher and wife Angela, Topeka, and Terry Hatcher and wife Lisa, Hutchinson; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Denny Countryman and wife Francine, Independence, Ks., Richard Countryman, Coffeyville, and Jim Countryman and wife Donna, Dearing, Ks.; sisters, Betty Eveleigh, Coffeyville, Darlene O'Connel and husband Mike, Coffeyville, and Arlene Chandler, Coffeyville; and nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Larry Countryman.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, at The Corner Stone Baptist Church, 1028 E. 16th, with Pastor Larry Wedel officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.
