Juliana L. Ewald, 97, died Dec. 2, 2016, at Brookdale of Hutchinson. She was born Feb. 16, 1919, in Hutchinson, to George J. and Anna I. (Flintrop) Ewald.

Juliana graduated from St. Teresa's Catholic High School in 1937 and attended Adela Hale Business College. She did clerical work for Smoot Grain-Salina Terminal Elevator.

Juliana was a lifelong member of St. Teresa's and the Altar Society.

She is survived by: nephews, Jerome Ewald and wife Dolores, and Tim Ewald, all of Wichita; niece, Barbara Kaufman and husband Rick of Newton; great-niece and nephews, Andrew Ewald, Clare Lenz, and Daniel Ewald; and great great-niece and nephews, Camille, Roy, and Bo. Juliana was preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, George and Daniel Ewald; and great-niece, Anne Marie Ewald.

A parish rosary will be 9:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, 211 E. 5th Ave., Hutchinson, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 a.m., with Father Michael Maybrier officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
