Julida Helton, 53, of Hutchinson, died Sept. 16, 2009, at Golden Plains Health Care Center in Hutchinson.
She was born Oct. 28, 1955, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Julio and Georgia Caudillo Cantu.
A lifelong Reno County resident, she was a CMA at Dillon Living Center. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She attended school in Hutchinson, and graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1973.
She married David Helton on Nov. 30, 1974, in Hutchinson. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include: a son, David Helton, Jr. and his wife, Deann; a daughter, Vanesa Helton, all of Hutchinson; her father, Julio Cantu Jr., Hutchinson; a brother, Julio Cantu III, Hutchinson; sisters, Sylvia Lopez, Killeen, Texas, Elva Baugh and Lisa Jones, both of Hutchinson; three grandchildren, Raven, Onyx and Daven. She was preceded in death by her mother, Georgia Cantu.
A parish rosary will be held Sunday 7 p.m. and the family will greet friends afterward at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Hutchinson. A Memorial Mass will be 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, at the church, with Father Brian Nelson presiding. Cremation has taken place.
