Julie A. Sayers, 53, died August 4, 2009, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.

She was born March 7, 1956, in Leavenworth, the daughter of Richard L. and Donna Marie Rhudy Rogers.

She was a graduate of Leavenworth High School, Leavenworth and a 1976 graduate of Emporia State University, Emporia. A systems analyst for Integrated Solutions, Julie was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church, where she served as clerk of the session and church treasurer.

On May 28, 1977, she married Sam Sayers in Leavenworth. He survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Aaron and wife Shea, Overland Park, and Mitchell, Hutchinson; a daughter, Genevieve Sayers and fiancé Dustin Frenya, Hutchinson; and a brother, Bruce Rogers, Leavenworth. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2009, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Reverend Skip Johnson presiding. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday with the family present to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, all at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.

Memorials may be sent to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, or the American Diabetes Association, both in care of the mortuary.
