June Louise Tennant, 89, died May 6, 2010, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
She was born Nov. 12, 1920, in Hooker, Okla. to Dayton Morell and Caroline Prillman Tatro Raines.
She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1938 and attended Hutchinson Junior College.
She was a sales clerk at Sears for 10 years, and she and her husband owned and operated Tennant Realty & Tax Service. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.
On July 23, 1940, she married Frank Mason Tennant in Salina. He died June 7, 1981.
Survivors include: a son, Frank M. Tennant and his wife Sarah, Hutchinson; two daughters, Sharon J. Sutton, Hutchinson, and Beth L. Tennant, Riverside, Calif.; brother, Gerald Raines and his wife Frances, Olathe; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter Gail Lynn Sutton, and a sister Martha Miller.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2010, at Elliott Chapel with Pastor Ron Kite and Reverend Dr. Kim Biery presiding. Cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, Saturday and Sunday, and 9 a.m. to service time Monday, at Elliott Mortuary. Private inurnment will be in Eastside Cemetery.
