Obituary

June P. Trinkle, 90, died April 11, 2010, at Hester Care Center, Wesley Towers, Hutchinson.

She was born June 18, 1919, in Preston, to Archie Thomas and Myrtle Harriet Ruth Scott.

She was a Hutchinson resident since 1967, moving here from Preston. She was a 1937 graduate of Preston High School. She was a very proud charter employee at Wesley Towers, beginning work there in March 1969. She was the Communications Coordinator, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Tenth Avenue United Methodist Church. She was also a charter member and past president of American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 375 of Preston, a 65-year member of American Legion Lysle Rishel Post No. 68 Auxiliary of Hutchinson, Past Grand Noble of Preston Rebekah Lodge, member of the Hutchinson Hospital Guild and of the Hospice Coffee Group.

She married Winfred D. Trinkle on June 18, 1941, in Pratt. He died July 20, 1993.

Survivors include: daughters, Judith Bemiss and husband Carrol, Hutchinson; a niece; a nephew; and several great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Duwayne and Kenneth Scott; and a nephew.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Randall Turner officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Shelman Cemetery, rural Kingman County.

Memorials may be sent to Hospice Care of Kansas or the Wesley Towers Good Samaritan Fund in care of the mortuary.
