Obituary

Junior Jonas Stucky, 88, died May 5, 2016, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born Aug. 2, 1927, in Moundridge, to Edward T. and Elizabeth M. (Libich) Stucky.
Junior graduated from Moundridge High School in 1945 and the Salt City Business College in 1952. He enlisted into the United States Army in 1945. He was a member of First Baptist Church and retired from Cargill Salt Company as the transportation manager.
On March 23, 1952, he married Betty Marie Ahlgrim in Moundridge. She died June 2003. He later married Patricia "Patti" Louise Simon on Dec. 5, 2009. She survives. Other survivors include: son, Edward Stucky and wife Diana of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sisters, Joan Ensz of Newton, Jane McElhiney of McPherson; stepchildren, Reverend David Dennis and wife Helen of Milton, Fla., Janet Penner and husband Cliff of Hutchinson; six step grandchildren; 12 step great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; four brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2016, at First Baptist Church, Hutchinson, with the Reverend Tyler Vance presiding. Burial will follow in West Zion Cemetery, Moundridge, with military honors conducted by Fort Riley Honor Guard. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
