Justin LeRoy Dunlavy, 50, formerly of Burrton, died December 12, 2022, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born November 13, 1972, in Wichita, to Lonnie LeRoy and Gail (Graves) Dunlavy.
Justin graduated from Burrton High School in 1991, and Kansas State in 1997. A resident of Edmond, OK since 2013, he was the General Manager for Forest Products Supply. Justin enjoyed woodworking and watching Kansas State sports, especially their football team. Above all, he was an amazing and outstanding son, brother, husband, father, and uncle. Justin strived to attend every event his children participated in; family always came first to Justin.
On October 15, 2004, he married the love of his life, Jessica Thach, at the Wichita Boathouse. They shared 18 years of marriage.
Justin is survived by: his wife, Jessica; children, Elle Dunlavy and Kane Dunlavy, all of Edmond, OK; parents, Lon and Gail Dunlavy; brother, Joel Dunlavy (Sheila), all of Burrton; mother-in-law, Terri Thach of Hutchinson; sister-in-law, Emily Galbreath (Ashford); brother-in-law, Evan Thach (Kailey); nieces and nephews, Maci and Cassie Dunlavy, Helena and Harper Galbreath, and Palmer and Olivia Thach; and a host of amazing extended family, friends, and colleagues.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Celebration of Life service for Justin will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Elliott Chapel. Friends may sign his book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday at Elliott Mortuary, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Elliott Mortuary. Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Elle and Kane Dunlavy Education Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
