Karen Mitchell, 71, of Hutchinson, died June 23, 2020, at Good Samaritan Society-Hutchinson Village.  She was born September 14, 1948, in Sweet Home, OR, to Lloyd Carl and Florence L. (Long) Pinkley.

Karen graduated from Cowley County Community College and received her Registered Nursing degree from Southwestern College, Winfield.

She is survived by:  daughter, Heather (Jacob) Sells of Hutchinson; son, Kelly (Melissa) Starks of Texas; sisters, Pam (Matt) Melby of Sterling, and Judy (Wayne) Smalling of Hutchinson; grandson, Andrew Bieghler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Karen was preceded in death by:  her parents; daughter, Tana Krause; and sisters, Betty Carder and Jan Melby.

No services are planned.  Cremation has taken place.
