Karen K. Schmucker, 41, died Oct. 27, 2007, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born April 27, 1966, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Melvin F. and Marilyn Sittner Fesler. She graduated from Fairfield High School and Sterling College. She was a lifetime Plevna and Abbyville community resident. She was an elementary school teacher at Fairfield East Elementary School, Arlington, for the past 11 years.
She belonged to South Hutchinson Mennonite Church.
On April 23, 1988, she married Kelly Schmucker in Hutchinson. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Clay, 5, of the home; a daughter, Shanae, 7, of the home; her mother, Marilyn Fesler, Plevna; two sisters, Kathy Dick and husband, Dayul, Hutchinson, and Kris Murphy and husband Justin, Kingsport, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at South Hutchinson Mennonite Church, 808 S. Poplar, South Hutchinson, with the Revs. Howard Wagler and Bob Pankratz presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Abbyville Cemetery.
