Karen Slack, 64, died May 29, 2010, at Hospice House.
She was born March 28, 1946, in Victoria, to Samuel Rhinehart and Hubertine Caroline Schmidtberger Schultz.
A longtime Hutchinson resident, she was a homemaker.
On Nov. 21, 1964, she married Bill Slack in Hutchinson. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Jeff Slack and wife Debra; a daughter, Kim Troyer and husband Joe, all of Hutchinson; her mother, Hubertine Schultz, Inman; two brothers, Donnie Schultz, Nickerson and Dave Schultz and wife Diane, Hutchinson; six grandchildren, Ashley and Mathew Slack, Michaela and Amanda Troyer, Valerie and Hayley Veit; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; two brothers: Dennis and Doug Schultz; and a nephew Cory Schultz.
Rosary will be at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at Elliott Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, with Father Nicholas Voelker officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary.
