Karilynn (Epp) Motz, 49, died Aug. 11, 2015, at her parents' home in Hutchinson. She was born Aug. 28, 1965, in Omaha, Neb., to James and Sharon (Regier) Epp. Karilynn attended J.D. Darnall High School, Geneseo, Ill., and Black Hawk College, Moline, Ill. She was a patient care technician for a trauma hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

On April 14, 2011, she married Dean A. Motz, in Des Moines, Iowa. Survivors include: her husband, Dean of Kansas City; parents, James and Sharon Epp; sister, Tammy and husband Sid Wiens, all of Hutchinson; brother, Jim Epp and wife Pam of Iowa; and six nieces and nephews, Krysta, Bryson and wife Kaci, and Bryant and wife Leah Wiens, and Matt, Janae, and Ryan Epp. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; and a nephew, Seth Wiens.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Blake Gillen officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, with the family present to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until service time Saturday.
