Karleen King Good, 87, died July 18, 2007, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
She was born June 14, 1920, in Hutchinson, the daughter of A.R. and Wilhelmina Anderson King. She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1938, Hutchinson Community College in 1940, Kansas State College and the University of Kansas Medical Center Nursing School in 1944.
A resident of Hutchinson, having lived in Liberal from 1966 to 1979, she was a registered nurse, working in California during World War II, at Southwest Regional Medical Center, Liberal, and was an elementary school nurse, Liberal.
She belonged to the First Congregational Church, Hutchinson, serving in various organizations within the church, E.H.U., which later became the Prosperity Sharing Sisters, and was very active with her high school class reunion activities.
On July 29, 1945, she married Charles Good in Hutchinson. He survives.
Other survivors include: five sons, Wayne, Spearville, Donald and wife, Marge, Salina, Robert and wife, Janice, Newton, Charles, III and wife, Helen, Wamego, and John and wife, Debbie, Derby; a daughter, Barbara Luman and husband, Steve, Hutchinson; two sisters, Helen Knight, Salina, and Alberta Charroin, New Port Richey, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Melva Good.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Congregational Church, Hutchinson, with Pastor Matt Stafford presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum.
