Katarina Mary 'Kate' Nachtigal Cofer, 30, died March 9, 2020, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.  She was born October 1, 1989, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Ronald and Karen (Graber) Nachtigal.

Kate was most known for her passionate love of dogs. She had her own pet sitting business, and was a sincere and loyal provider of love for the pets entrusted to her care.  Due to numerous debilitating illnesses, Kate lost her battle for life at the premature age of 30.

Kate leaves behind:  her beloved dogs, Spencer and Bentley; guinea pig, Mr. Waddlesworth; mother, Karen Nachtigal, brother, Luke Nachtigal; grandparents, Harry and Emily Nachtigal, Don and Roberta Graber;  former husband, Daniel Cofer; and numerous aunts. uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ron Nachtigal, and a grandmother, Mary Graber.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2020, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Tim Adrian officiating.  Burial will follow in Buhler West Municipal Cemetery.  Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
