COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Katherine G. Arnold, 81, died Sept. 23, 2006, at St. Luke's Hospital, Maumee, Ohio.
She was born April 12, 1925, in Paxton, Neb., the daughter of Benjamin R. and Justina Fast Frie-sen. A Colorado Springs, Colo., resident, she was a longtime Hutchinson resident and moved to Colorado in 1996. She was a Golden Express Driver for the Reno County Department of Aging.
She belonged to First Church of the Nazarene.
On Nov. 15, 1951, she married Clinton Louis Arnold in Hutchinson. He died Jan. 9, 1987.
Survivors include: three daughters, Lou Anna Arnold, Colorado Springs, Colo., Melody Brailsford (David), Perrysburg, Ohio, and Debbie Spatafore, Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, Wilmer Friesen, South Hutchinson; three sisters, Bertha Kaiser, Medora, Rosella Jackson, Hutchinson, and Ruth Witt, Hutchinson; a grandson, Nicolas Spatafore, Colorado Springs, Colo., and a step-grandson, Phillip Brailsford, Perrysburg, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Matilda Curless and Clara Keever.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor R. Kendall Franklin and Chaplain Colonel Dr. Arthur R. Homer, U.S.A.F. (Ret.) presiding. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, all at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.
