Katherine "Katie" Wasinger, 104, died July 30, 2016, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born April 5, 1912, in St. Peter, to Frank and Philomena (Dreiling) Schriener.

She was a homemaker and attended Church of the Holy Cross, Hutchinson. On April 30, 1934, Katie married Frank Wasinger in Sitka. He died June 21, 1984. Survivors include: daughter, Carolyn Wasinger of Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Richard Wasinger; three sisters; and two brothers.

A parish rosary will be 9:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian burial to follow at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016, at Church of the Holy Cross, Hutchinson, with Father Roger Lumbre and Father Babu Pinninti presiding. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Highland Cemetery, Ashland. Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
