Katherine Francis Mciver's Obituary
Katherine Francis McIver, 72, passed away Oct. 30, 2015, at Prairie Sunset Home in Pretty Prairie. She was born March 30, 1943, in Vermillion, the daughter of William Burdette and Lois Irene (Christie) Stowell.
"Cherished by one man who called her his wife; adored by a son and a daughter, who owed her their life. Remembered by all who she had ever known, loved by one God who called her home."
Survivors include: daughter, Robin Ellis of Gillette, Wyo.; son, Randy of El Dorado; 11 sisters; two brothers; three grandchildren, Nicole Palmer of Gillette, Wyo., Derek Ellis of Zimmerman, Minn., Isaac McIver of Hutchinson; two great-grandchildren, Levi and Lexi Palmer of Gillette, Wyo. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Roy; her parents; two sisters; and three brothers.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, at Abbyville Community Church, with Pastor Dale Levering presiding. Inurnment in Abbyville Cemetery will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Katherine McIver Memorial Fund or Prairie Sunset Home, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
