Kathi Anne Smith, 64, died April 23, 2024, at her home.  She was born October 27, 1959, in Scott City, KS, to Paul George Smith and Carol Ann (Reed) Smith.

Kathi enjoyed shopping at Walmart and writing letters.  She loved getting in a car and just going for a ride. Kathi was a Special Olympics athlete and a Clayworks artist.

She is survived by:  her siblings, Paula (Mark) Padilla of Newton, KS, Charles Smith of Dodge City, KS, John Smith of Minneola, KS, and Jo (Joel) Burnett of Minneola, KS; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Kathi was preceded in death by:  her parents; and grandparents, Easter and Shorty McKinney and Edna and Ralph Smith.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2024, at First Christian Church, 210 S. Lane Street, Dighton, KS.  Burial will follow in the Dighton Cemetery, Dighton, KS.  Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2024, with the family to receive friends from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2024, at Elliott Mortuary.
