Kathleen Marie "Kat" Wiens, 75, passed away on February 11, 2026, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. Kathleen was born on January 19, 1951, in Wichita KS, to Albert Daniel and Jacqueline Ruth (Johnson) West.

Kathleen graduated from Wichita West High School in May, 1969, then attended Fort Hays State and Hesston College before graduating from Bethel College in May, 1992. She worked in marketing and advertising before becoming a Registered Nurse. Kat enjoyed hunting for Indian artifacts, reading, shopping, interior design and art, especially oil paintings, and was a supporter of the Hutchinson Kennel Club.

Kathleen married Ron Knott who passed away in 2012. She then married Larry A. Wiens in Hutchinson, he survives.

Kathleen is survived by: stepchildren, Aaron and wife Kathy Wiens, Katie Wiens and Brennan Smith; step-grandchildren, Aaron and Dylan; beloved friend, Kendra Taber; 3 sisters; and sisters-in-law, Vicki Vincent and Patty Wiens .

Kathleen is preceded by her parents and husband Ron Knott.

Cremation has taken place. No services are planned.
