SOUTH HUTCHINSON - Kathleen F. Klosterhoff, 87, died Aug. 3, 2008, at Mennonite Manor, South Hutchinson.

She was born Sept. 15, 1920, in Okawville, Ill., the daughter of William Edward and Rose Dorothy Koch Friend.

She graduated in 1938, from Nashville High School, Nashville, Ill. She attended Brown's Business College, St. Louis. A resident of Hutchinson since 2003, moving from Overland Park, she was a secretary for the Olin Corporation, East Alton, Ill.

She belonged to Colonial Church of Christ, Prairie Village, the National Secretary Association, and was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the P.E.O. Chapter HJ, Overland Park.

On April 18, 1942, she married Gene Klosterhoff in Savannah, Ga. He survives. Other survivors include: a son, Bruce and his wife Pat, Hutchinson; three grandchildren, Stephanie Heath and husband Juan, Overland Park, Leslie Dalton and husband Jacob, Hinesville, Ga., and Erika Klosterhoff, Bloomington, Ind.; two step-grandchildren, Matt Zamora and wife Karla, Tucson, Ariz., and Tim Zamora and wife Maggie, Tucson, Ariz.; three great-grandchildren, Maria and Damon Heath and Thomas Dalton; two step-great-grandchildren, Ryan and Karly Zamora; and a sister, Luella Friend, South Hutchinson.

She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Lynn Klosterhoff.

Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, 2008, at Mennonite Manor Chapel, South Hutchinson, with Pastor Todd Schlosser presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery, Nashville, Ill., at a later date.
