Kathryn Elizabeth Havens, 88, of Hutchinson, died Sept. 29, 2012, at Emeritus at Elm Grove Estates. She was born Aug. 12, 1924, in Cherokee County, Okla., the daughter of William A. and Martha A. Taylor Trapp.

Kathryn married Weldon J. Havens on April 11, 1979, in Huntsville, Texas. He died Feb. 6, 1992. She was a retired grocery clerk and a member of the Eastwood Church of Christ. Survivors include: daughters, Mari Chew Reynolds of Atlanta, Ga. and Martha Ann Robbins of Coffeyville, Kan.; four granddaughters, Kelli Altvater and McKenzie Altvater, both of Hutchinson, Elise Chew of Atlanta, Ga., Shannon Corbin of Lyons, Kan.; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; and infant son, Jerry Powell; sisters, Henrietta Burk and Mary Cook; and brother, Ewell Trapp.

Private family services will be held and burial will be in Dennison, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made to the Eastwood Church of Christ, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
