Kathryn Kaye 'Kathy' Maldonado, 73, died June 29, 2019, at Via Christi - St. Francis Campus, Wichita, KS. She was born January 13, 1946, in Dodge City, KS, the daughter of George and Pearl (St. John) Baker.

Kathy graduated from high school in Johnson, KS. She was a dedicated Lab and X-Ray Technician for 50 years, first at Stafford District Hospital and then at the St. John Clinic. Kathy had a fond love for animals of all kinds, attending family barbecues, attending her grandchildren's various school and sporting activities, and loved the Fall and Winter seasons.

On October 2, 1965, she married Earnest 'Sam' Maldonado in Clayton, NM. He survives.

Also surviving are: children, Kevin Maldonado (Scott Coldwell), Danbury, CT, Erin Harmony (Jacob), Hutchinson, KS, Korey Maldonado (Angie), Hutchinson; grandchildren, Kacey Sullivan (Adam), Lawrence, KS, Sam Maldonado (Jenessa), McPherson, KS, Evan and Alena Maldonado, Hutchinson, Jake Kern, Wichita, Ian, Grant, Max, and Owen Harmony, Hutchinson; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Arthur Baker.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Kathy's life will be held at 1 p.m. at the Stafford Senior Center, 130 S. Main St. Stafford, on Friday, July 5, 2019. This is a come-and-go reception including a light lunch and refreshments and business casual attire is encouraged.
