Katie Gingerich Crow, 93, died May 17, 2009, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.

She was born March 14, 1916, on the family farm near Yoder, to Chris A. and Polly L. Wengard Miller.

A lifetime resident of Reno County, she worked for the city of South Hutchinson from 1958 to 1976, and then with her family in the auction business until retiring in 1989.

On June 25, 1938, she married Joe E. Gingerich in Hutchinson. He died Oct. 19, 1983. On Jan. 14, 1990, she married Kenneth F. "Ken" Crow, in Honolulu. He died Sept. 30, 2001.

Survivors include: sons, Ronal L. Gingerich and wife Jenny, Ralph "Doc" Gingerich and wife Teddy, all of Hutchinson; stepdaughter, Diane Beck and husband Dale, Plevna; step-daughter-in-law, Lynn Crow, Leavenworth; grandchildren, Kari Gingerich, Robin Gingerich, Aaron Gingerich and wife Kalisha, Buffy Smith and husband Ed, all of Hutchinson, Holly Gingerich, Felton, Calif., Anne Gingerich and fiancé Jason Downing, South Beach, Fla., Maggie Zamora and husband Tim, Tucson, Ariz.; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Nicholas and Darian Nelson, Dillon Cotter, and Chase Smith, all of Hutchinson; and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Harvey, Harley, Bill and Christy Miller, and Abe Kauffmann, sisters, Lizzie Troyer, Katherine Gingerich, Elizabeth Yoder, and Anna Miller and a stepson, Duane Crow.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at South Hutchinson United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery.
