Kelvin James O'Brien, 70, of Myrtle Beach, SC, died June 15, 2024.  He was born November 29, 1953, to James O'Brien and Thelma (Cade) O'Brien.

Kelvin is survived by his son, Conroy O'Brien, and niece, Neely Goen.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Conroy O'Brien, a Kansas Highway Patrolman killed in the line of duty in 1978.

Celebration of Life will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the Abbyville Community Church, Abbyville, KS.  Burial will follow in the Abbyville Cemetery.  Friends may sign Kelvin's online guest book that is located in his obituary on the Elliott Mortuary website.  Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the City of Abbyville to benefit the Myreeland Park, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
