Obituary

Kenneth Scott Angell, 59, died July 26, 2009 at his home. He was born Sept. 11, 1949 in Hutchinson to Frank S. and Norma M. Scott Angell.

He graduated from Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, NY in 1970. He also graduated from Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center.

After 22 years of service with Reno County Law Enforcement, Kenneth retired as Undersheriff. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and Trinity United Methodist Church. He loved his job and his family.

On Feb. 3, 1979 he married Jane I. Kling in Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include 3 sons, Eric & wife Jennifer Angell, Omaha, NE, Matthew Angell, Wichita and Scott Angell, Florida; daughter Colleen Angell, Florida; brother Tom & wife Joanne Angell, Buhler; 2 sisters, Ellen Angell, Hutchinson and Kristin Bullock & husband Roy, Indiana; 2 grandchildren, Savannah Angell, Wichita and Emily Angell, Omaha, NE; and mother-in-law, Evelyn Kling, Hutchinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Delmas Kling.

Funeral will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 31, 2009 at Elliott Chapel with Pastor Robert L. Albin officiating. Friends may call Thursday from 9-9 with the family receiving friends from 6-8 at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.
