Kenny Shawn Poulton, 40, went home to rest with his Lord on March 16, 2010, at KU Medical Center, Kansas City, after many years of battling illnesses.

He was born Jan. 23, 1970, in Hutchinson, the son of David Michael and Carma June Conrad Poulton.

He was a 1989 graduate of Hutchinson High School. He was a former installer for C & C Guttering and stockman for Peel's Salon Services.
He was a member of New Life Church of the Nazarene.

On May 5, 2000, he married Laura Michelle Showalter in Hutchinson. She survives.

Other survivors include: daughters, Kylee Showalter, Dominque Hamm, Damitric Hamm, all of Hutchinson, Sidney Willadson, Deltona, Fla., and LuAnne Dixon, South Hutchinson; his parents, Dave and Carma Poulton, Hutchinson; and grandmother, Wanda Conrad, Hutchinson. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Preston and Alice Poulton and Gerald Conrad.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday March 22, 2010, at New Life Church of the Nazarene, Hutchinson, with Pastor Curtis Coombs presiding. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kenny S. Poulton Memorial Fund in care of the mortuary.
