Kenneth Lloyd Osgood, 91, died Sept. 27, 2016, at Brookdale of Hutchinson. He was born Nov. 22, 1925, in Macksville, to Warren Clark and Bertha Naomi (Fergus) Osgood.
Kenneth was a 1943 graduate of Matfield Green High School, Matfield. He served in the United States Army. In 1988, Kenneth retired from Westar Energy as a tree trimmer. He was a member of First Church of God, IBEW Union, Young at Heart and American Legion Post #113-Kinsley.
On Nov. 28, 1948, Kenneth married Virginia Louise Anderson in Kansas City, Mo. She survives. Other survivors include: daughters, Deanna Whitehead of Louisville, Ky., LaDonna Fager and husband Don of Hutchinson, Pamela Mifflin and husband Rob of Anderson, Ind.; grandchildren, Renee Nally and husband Joe of Bowling Green, Ky., Josh Mifflin of Eaton, Ind., Abby Mifflin Hart and husband Max of Anderson, Ind.; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Ava Hart, Ben and Adam Nally; brother, Francis Osgood and wife Janice of Florence; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; a brother; and a sister.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at First Church of God, 704 N. Jefferson, Hutchinson, with Rob Mifflin presiding. Burial will follow in Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson, with military honors conducted by Fort Riley Honor Guard. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
