Kenneth Dale Simmons, 71, died August 8, 2009, at his home.

He was born June 8, 1938, to Luther and Ruth Humphrey Simmons. He served in the National Guard.

A retired correctional officer from the Hutchinson Correctional Facility, he was of the Protestant faith and a league bowler until several years ago.

He married Carolyn Quiones in Hutchinson on October 10, 1992. She survives.

Other survivors include: three daughters; a son; a brother; two sisters; two stepsons; and a stepdaughter.

Cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time.
