Kenneth E. Zeek, 81, died Oct. 3, 2012, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.
He was born June 25, 1931, in Emporia, to Floyd and Alta Mae (Fann) Zeek.
Kenneth graduated from Beloit High School in 1949 and attended Chillicothe College in Missouri. He was a machinist's union member for 45 years, a member of Eastwood Church of Christ, loved fishing and camping, and for twelve years traveled with his wife.
On Sept. 11, 1949, he married NeidaVonne Broadbent in rural Beloit and they celebrated 63 years of marriage together. She survives.
Other survivors include: daughter, Juanita Pendlay of McPherson; grandsons, G.W. and Heath; brother, LeRoy Melvin Zeek of Ottawa; sister-in-law, Beverly Hobbs; brother-in-law, Carldon Broadbent, both of Beloit; and nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Paul Galen Zeek.
Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at McPherson City Cemetery, McPherson, with Jimie-Wray Mead officiating. Casket will be closed. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
