Kurt E. King, 55, died Nov. 3, 2015, at his home, Hutchinson. He was born Aug. 25, 1960, in Hutchinson, to Kenneth Sr., and Patricia (Jones) King.
Kurt attended Faith Chapel and Journey Mennonite Church. He enjoyed tinkering with and admiring classic cars, fishing, boating, and spending time with family and friends.
Kurt married Jackie Leonard in 1988. They later divorced. On May 1, 2010, he married Merrile E. Pauls in Hutchinson. She survives. Other survivors include: granddaughters of the home, Aaliyah Norris and Kylianna King; children, Jesse King of Hutchinson, Kurtis King of Merkel, Texas, Jennalea King of Wichita, Shealynn King of Merkel, Texas; eight grandchildren; mother, Patricia King; siblings, Sheryle King-Tolbert, Kevin King, Shelly King, Selena King, Kent King, and Lanelle Walden. Kurt was preceded in death by his father and brothers, Kenneth King Jr., and William King.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6, 2015, at Wesley Towers Chapel, with Pastors Leroy Neal and Ron Deviney officiating. Burial will follow in Yoder Cemetery, Yoder. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
