Lael L. Chronister, 69, died Jan. 5, 2014, at her home. She was born Jan. 10, 1944, in Wichita, to Thomas and Alice Joanne (Griffith) Cordingley.

She was a retired LPN. Lael was a member of Maranatha Mennonite Church. On May 5, 1962, she married Albert Lee Chronister. He survives. Other survivors include: three sons, Donald Chronister and wife Debbee of Hutchinson, David Chronister and husband Robert of Wichita, and Daryl Chronister of Hutchinson; three grandchildren, Cody, Sarah and Sherry Chronister, all of Hutchinson; great-granddaughter, Madison Chronister of Hutchinson; brother, Dale Cordingley of Hutchinson; sister, Rebecca Antoine and husband Richard of Hot Springs, Ark. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Larry Cordingley.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, at Maranatha Mennonite Church, 3115 Blanchard SW, South Hutchinson, with Pastor Paul Nisly officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
