Obituary

Our daddy, Larie Gene Miles, 83, of Hutchinson, went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, whom he faithfully served his whole life, on December 18, 2021, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born August 27, 1938, in Hutchinson, to Lawrence "Buck" and Arietta M. (Brewer) Miles.

Larie attended Hutchinson schools. He served in the United States Army from 1961-1963. Larie worked as a machinist at Consolidated Manufacturing for over 20 years. He also was a licensed minister in the Assemblies of God and loved playing the piano and singing for worship services as well as services in local nursing homes. Larie loved to fish and watch trains, but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. Larie's faith was most important, expressed in his membership in Eleventh Avenue Chapel and supporting Open Door Pregnancy Care Center.

On July 14, 1969, Larie married Della Akins. They later divorced. He then married Pat Hanneman on February 14, 1981. She died December 23, 2011. On November 6, 2020, Larie married Jean Brown, in Hutchinson. She survives.
