Larry A. Bennett, 80, died August 7, 2024, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born on January 8, 1944, in Joplin, MO, to Albert A. and Cora B. (Jones) Bennett.

Larry worked as a machinist for Consolidated Manufacturing in Hutchinson. He enjoyed fishing, camping, eating out, wildlife, and helping any animal that crossed his path. Larry was one of Jehovah's witnesses.

On November 2, 1963, he married Anita G. Nolte, at Temple Baptist Church, Hutchinson. They shared over 51 years of marriage prior to her death on June 4, 2015.

Larry is survived by: daughter, Evonne (Richard) Eckrote; granddaughter, Elizabeth Eckrote, all of Wichita; sister, Della Nickle of Walnut Grove, MO; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and cat, Bobby "Bad Bob".

He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Anita Bennett; grandson, Benjamin Eckrote; and nine siblings.

Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2024, in North Inman Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday, at Elliott Mortuary.
