Larry R. Goering, 63, formerly of Hutchinson, passed away at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Inman, on Sunday, October 4, 2020.  He was born to Walter and Doris (Schrag) Goering on May 15, 1957, at the hospital in Kingman.

Larry faithfully worked at the United States Postal Service Office, in Hutchinson, for 27 years, until his deteriorating health prompted him to take an early retirement.  He had resided at the Pleasant View Nursing Home in Inman for six years prior to his passing.

Larry, who never married, was an avid traveler in his earlier years, and frequently used his vacation times to enjoy several cruises and multiple international trips.  He chronicled those experiences through his keen interest in photography at that time.  Larry also collected stamps and coins.

He is survived by: sisters, Vera (Tom) Davis, Hutchinson and Violet (Larry) Ballard, Wisconsin; a sister-in-law, Ann Goering, Indiana; two nieces, Lisa and Lori; and six nephews, Russell, Randy, Reggie, Brad, Brent, and Jonathan.

Larry was preceded in death by: his parents; an infant brother, Harry Dean; an infant sister, Venita Joy; sister, Leona Singleton; and brother, Vernon Goering.

Private burial will take place at Pretty Prairie Mennonite Church Cemetery.  Friends may sign his book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday through Friday at Elliott Mortuary.  The family will greet friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2020, at Elliott Mortuary.
