Larry D. Halbert, 75, of Hutchinson, died October 19, 2024, at Heartland Haven in Inman. He was born in Little River, the son of Darrell Halbert and Lillian Coffey.

Larry graduated from Little River High School with the class of 1967. He liked working with his hands and refurbished many vehicles. Not only did he renovate cars, he genuinely enjoyed attending car shows and dirt track races. Larry spent a lot of time outdoors with one of his favorite pastimes being gardening.

On March 15, 2018, he married Frances Halbert in Hutchinson, KS. They spent nearly three years of marriage before her death on March 7, 2021.

Larry is survived by: son, Jerry Halbert of Wichita; daughter, Stacy (William) Pedigo of Geneseo; brothers, Frederick Halbert of Hutchinson, Alan (Christine) Halbert of Lyons; sister, Ruby (Tony) Navarro of Emporia; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Frances Halbert; son, Larry Dean Jr. Halbert; brother, Darrell R. Halbert; and sister, Linda Hutchinson.

No services are planned. Cremation has taken place.
