Larry D. Jewell, 61, died Nov. 23, 2005, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born May 5, 1944, in Hutchinson, the son of Alfred F. and Maudie L. Frye Jewell. He attended Nickerson High School and graduated from Hutchinson JUCO in 1967. A lifetime Hutchinson resident, he was owner and operator of Central Welding and Machine Company, Inc.
He belonged to the Crossroads Christian Church, Hutchinson-Reno Masonic Lodge No. 124 AF&AM, 32nd Scottish Rite and was a Master Mason, High Twelve, and the Midian Shrine.
He was married to Carla Hegarty from 1967 to 1995.
Survivors include: a son, Scott A., Omaha, Neb.; his mother, Maudie L. Brack; and a brother, Chester "Chet".
He was preceded in death by his father, and stepfather, Everett Brack.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Crossroads Christian Church, with Pastors Wayne Pittman and Tim Carey presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the Shriner's Children's Hospital or the American Cancer Society, both in care of the funeral home.
