Larry Sherman Lester's Obituary
Larry S. Lester, 63, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014. He was born Oct. 9, 1951, at Macomb, Ill., the son of Otho and Ruth (Ramsey) Lester.
He was a custodian for USD 310 Fairfield custodian. Larry had previously worked for Hanger Prosthetics for 33 years and was co-owner of Poogez Pizza.
On July 3, 1983, he married Kelley Rae Dunn in Wichita. She survives. Other survivors include: two sons and a stepson, Matthew Lester, Larry Kenneth Lester of Gualala, Calif., Jonathan A. Dye of Tulsa, Okla.; brother, Bobby Lester of Macomb, Ill.; sister, Shirley Simpson of Bushnell, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Delores Holmes; and two brothers, Billy Miller and Richard Lester.
Cremation will take place according to his wishes. Graveside service will be 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, at Abbyville Cemetery, with David Harlow presiding. Please park at the Abbyville Community Church and ride by bus to the cemetery. Friends may sign his register book at Elliott Mortuary until service time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to USD 310, Fairfield, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main St., Hutchinson, KS 67501.
